Farm School – A Place Where the Village Comes to Life Before Children's Eyes
Today, many children grow up far from the village and have no opportunity to experience real farm life. To see cows, buffalo, horses, donkeys, chickens, sheep, pigs, and more up close. To learn how they live, what they eat, where milk comes from, and how eggs are collected.
The Farm School of "Simo and Familia" offers exactly this opportunity – to experience, to learn, and to remember. To get acquainted with authentic Bulgarian farming and its characteristic routines.
Here, amidst the green fields of Lozen village, the fresh air, the sun, and nature, children are introduced to the real farm life – as it is. With plenty of movement, outdoor games, and genuine contact with the animals.
They will learn who the animals are, what they like, and how to care for them with attention. They will discover the differences between various species, see how a calf and a lamb are fed, why the rooster crows, and why the turkey changes the color of its head. They will be able to ask questions, touch, and participate – not as spectators, but as part of life here.
And without even noticing, between petting a calf and feeding the cattle, they will begin to build a connection – with nature, with the village, with the earth that feeds us. A connection that lasts.
What does the Farm School include?
- Getting to know the different animals on the farm – cows, horses, donkeys, buffalo, sheep, pigs, rabbits, poultry (turkeys, geese, ducks, pheasants, pigeons, chickens), and more;
- Explanations and interesting facts about each species – in a way that is close and understandable for every child;
- Meeting the family farm and the people who take care of it. They will share interesting stories about farm life;
- Participation in daily farming activities – feeding, cleaning, collecting eggs;
- Gaining useful skills, dexterity, and knowledge;
- Outdoor games and free movement in nature;
